The Associazione Musicale Santa Cecilia Besana Brianza is a social promotion association based in Besana in Brianza (MB), Lombardy, Italy. The Association is a dynamic non-profit cultural organisation whose aims include the promotion and development of music in all its forms, especially in the band sphere.

The historical core of the Association is the Corpo Musicale Santa Cecilia Besana in Brianza, better known as the Besana Band, an amateur band formation that has been performing an intense musical activity characterised by concerts and parades since 1852.

Fundamental to ensuring the growth and training of musicians within the Association is the “Piergiorgio Riva” School of Music. The Music School offers instrument and music theory courses, basic and advanced, taught by qualified teachers and aimed at all age groups. The School also offers an ensemble music project, the Besana Youth Band.

The Associazione Musicale Santa Cecilia Besana in Brianza is also the promoter of the Festival Bandistico Internazionale, a non-competitive event taking place every two years that brings together band groups from all over the world.
