Concerto Apertura Stagione 2013

Like every year the senior band kicks off its new season with a major concert, the proposed repertoire from master Angel Bolciaghi is diverse and challenging with two excerpts from the operas of Giuseppe Verdi, This year we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth, and some songs with the soloist Francesco Tamiati, principal trumpet Teatro Alla Scala.
The event is on Sunday 24 March at 15:30 at the Palace of sports in Villa Raverio.

FRANCESCO TAMIATI

Born in Vercelli in 1965, He received a diploma with honors from the Conservatory Vivaldi of Alessandria in 1984, winner of numerous competitions since January 2002
He serves as principal trumpet in the Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan. He has played with major orchestras including: Rai in Milan and Turin, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, La Fenice in Venice, Mantua Chamber Orchestra. He was also principal trumpet holder of
Teatro dell'Opera of Genoa and in the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland (Lugano), He has given concerts as well as in Italy and in Switzerland, in Belgium, Germany, India and Peru.
As a soloist he participated in the preparation of two operas for La Scala in Milan, including the world premiere of "Lohengrin" by Salvatore Sciarrino.
Recently took part, the concert production and broadcast of Bach's "mass in b minor" directed by Maestro Riccardo Muti, and production
concert conducted by Maestro Daniel Barenboim "Histoire du soldat by Igor Stravinsky".
